• Band – Tan genuine leather
• Maker / Distributor – Bulova Watch Company
• Remarks – A particularly handsome Bulova Ambassador B model, from the golden age of watchmaking. Subsidiary Seconds Dial at the six position.

This lovely, rare, unusual and seldom-seen “Ambassador B” Swiss made Bulova has a case marked 10k rolled gold bezel, 17 jewels 10 BT movement. (Bulova’s own in-house built Calibre 10BT movement, made at their factory in Biel, Switzerland).

The case has a nice curved side design, big fancy lugs, a raised domed glass crystal, a golden dial with raised gold hour markers, gold colored hands, a sub second dial and a nicely knurled crown.

This is a clean and bright vintage Swiss made watch in excellent working order; it keeps time well. It is mechanical, hand winding. The case is in very good condition. The movement is in very good to excellent condition. The raised crystal is solid with a couple of scratches.

This Altus by Glycine Vintage Men’s Watch is a classic 1960s example of military-meets-dress watch style.The watch features a stainless steel military style case with long curving lugs, a stunningly handsome and sought-after black dial, rasied gold hour markers, gold hands including a center sweep second hand. The dial is signed ALTUS / 17 JEWELS / WATERPROOF / INCABLOC. The back is signed: ALTUS / SWISS MADE / STAINLESS STEEL / WATERPROOF / INCABLOC / ANTIMAGNEITC. The back also bears the serial numbers: 4051 212 165750. Furnished with a new black Hirsch “Wild” water resistant genuine leather band with a stainless steel buckle.

History: Glycine and Altus were founded in Biel (Bienne) in 1914 and 1920 respectively, as Glycine Manufacture D’Horlogerie Glycine S.A. and Altus Montres Altus S.A. Charles Hertig Evilard took over Glycine in 1943. Evilard also owned Altus Watches SA, and integrated Altus and Glycine Watches SA in 1953. So Altus became an international trademark of Glycine, with both brands of watches marketed by Glycine.
