The Buler Company was founded in 1945, by Charles and Albert Buler , of the SSIH group. (Société Suisse de l’Industrie Horlogère). In 1954 the founders withdrew from the company and Walter Rufli took over the management of the firm. At that time 15 workers were occupied in a rather small atelier at the Oelestrasse. Buler is a relatively new maker of fine Swiss watches. Because the Buhler watch factory began in the second half of the 20th century, it was not constrained by existing machines or methodologies. Instead, being a young company, it could apply the best and latest in quality mechanical movements, fresh design ideas, and pleasing work environment. Its pioneering methods resulted in strengths that soon made Buler world-famous for the reputation of its products.
