Designed by Bill Blass, the watches were all made with 17 jewels movements to work as beautifully as they look. …”. And as mentioned in a Christmas Shoppers Ocala, Florida, newspaper article from Nov. 17, 1970: “Great news, the popular new Bill Blass collection of super timepieces designed exclusively for Hamilton-Vantage has just arrived…Select from such great styles as Basket weave, Swinger, Stockpage, Square Bangle, MacBeth, Columbia and Canterbury”. Bill Blass designed this Vantage Hamilton line with a unisex vision in mind. Long before the smart watches of today, in 1970, Bill Blass designed this gorgeous classic. Read the history below. Unisex Design. The watch has two “mod” yellow gold tone hands, hour and minute. Yellow gold plate “museum modern” style. The dial is brown and white gingham check or plaid. The back is signed: VANTAGE BILL BLASS BASE METAL.
