Antima 15 Jewels Art Deco Swiss Watch

unnamed[4]The Antima //

This early to mid 1930s Art Deco vintage men’s watch has a streamlined modern style that immediately sets it apart from the competition. The rectangular stainless steel case provides balance and symmetry to the handsome two-tone dial signed “Antima 15 Rubis” (meaning 15 jewels), with handsome Arabic numerals, and a rectangular sub seconds dial. The sides of the case are straight, while the lugs are angled downward to help the watch hug the wrist. The case back is made of the same high quality stainless steel as the bezel. The high quality construction provides peace of mind for a life time of wearing and handing on as an heirloom. This handsome watch from the delovelyness collection shows perfectly with any wardrobe choice, from formal to casual.

A very special watch from a smaller, highly regarded Swiss maker of fine timepieces. Antima is located in Biel-Bienne, the heart of the Swiss watch industry between Geneva and Zurich. Swiss watch production has no peers, and from its foundation in 1919 Antima has grown up within the vicinity of other famous regional watch companies. Antima and Antimas were trade marks from Karl Antmann (also known as: “Antima” or “Montres Activa” or “Scala Watch”) from Bienne. He was active beginning in about 1923 until 1966. Activa (1923), Algir, Antima Uhren (1923), Antimas, City Bravur, Scala, and Utila. All of these brands are very hard to find. Currently, Antima watches are under the ownership of Fossil.
