Hallmark Watches by Waltham

Hallmark in hand
During their restructuring efforts in the 50’s, the old and well-established Waltham Watch Company opened an office in New York for the purposes of importing Swiss watch movements and cases. They were branded and marketed as “Hallmark” watches, via this office.

So when you see the name “Hallmark” on a vintage watch dial, think “Waltham Swiss Watch”.

The Hallmark Watch Company ads dating from 1955 show this exact watch.

It has great style with its red sweep second hand, vintage Hallmark “Military Style”, angled sides stainless steel case, and an amazing MEL stainless steel vintage stretch band. The “Mel” is a vintage band by Foster, and one of the more desireable vintage expansion bands out there.
