Geneva Mens Swiss Watch with Pierpont Movement

il_fullxfull.446413221_1kxt[1]Her is a rare and unusual Pierpont Swiss Watch movement, in an “International Style” Geneva Men’s 10K gold filled square case. It is a man’s dress watch, with an integral original mesh link band dating to about 1960.

The watch features a white rectangular dial with gold tone Arabic numerals and hour and minute hands, and a sub second dial. Geneva Watches are Swiss Made and are usually interesting, unusual and luxurious in concept and design, as is this watch.

The dial is signed: GENEVA and SWISS. The movement reads: PIERPONT WATCH CO / SEVENTEEN JEWELS 17 / SWISS / UNADJUSTED.

Pierpont was a Swiss maker of watch mechanisms and watches, quite high end. PIERPONT – SAUTER Frères & Cie S.A. PIERPONT Watch Co (to USA) Bienne. Pierpont made watches of fantastic quality. Pierpont Watch Co. existed between mid-1910s to mid-1960s and in their time, produced some exquisite watches that are now very sought after and collectible. As with this elegant example, Pierpont watches were imported to the USA, cased by Geneva Watch Company.

This exquisite watch is a truly gorgeous example of celebrated Swiss craftsmanship.
