The watch is clean and sharp looking with a rectangular style beveled case and large angled lugs. The crystal is also beveled to match the case, one of those stand-out design details.
The watch features a 10K gold filled Art Deco style case and a 17 Jewels Swiss movement.
The case is 10K gold filled, bezel and back (and marked as such). The gold finish is nearly mint; there is just a bit of roughness on the edge of the back of one of the lugs. After all these years, the crown is still deeply knurled and easy to wind.
It is a Driver’s Watch which means it was made to be worn on the side of the wrist, so that when you are heading down the open road in your 1949 Cadillac 62 Series Convertible, 1949 Packard Darrin Convertible or 1949 Lincoln Continental Convertible, you can see the time at a glance without taking your hand off the wheel. Perfection!
